ე.წ. „ვახვახიანთ ციხე-გალავანი“ ერთ-ერთია იმ სამი ისტორიული ციხიდან, რომელიც თელავის განაშენიანებაშია ჩართული. ციხე-სიმაგრის ფუნქციის დაკარგვის შემდეგ მისი ბურჯები საცხოვრებლად გამოიყენებოდა. კომპაქტური, კოხტა პროპორციების მქონე, აგურისა და რიყის ქვით ნაშენი ორსართულიანი სახლი ერთ-ერთ ბურჯზეა აშენებული მე-19 საუკუნის ბოლოს. ციხე-ბურჯის წრიული მოცულობა შიგნიდან ორსართულად იყოფა და საცხოვრებელ ოთახებადაა გადაკეთებული. პირველი სართულის ძირითადი ნაწილი ეზოს მხარეს აგურით ამოყვანილი თაღედითაა გახსნილი; მისი ერთი კედელი კი აგურისა და რიყის ქვის დეკორატიული წყობით იქცევს ყურადღებას. ამ კედელს შეისრულთაღიანი და ნახევარწრიული მოჩარჩოების მქონე კარ-სარკმლის თითო ღიობი ამკობს. ფასადი დასრულებულია დეკორატიული პარაპეტით. მეორე სართულს ამშვენებს ხის აივანი სამყურა თაღედით და ჭვირული მოაჯირებით (განახლებულია უკანასკნელ პერიოდში). ისტორიულ ღირებულებასთან ერთად მნიშვნელოვანია ბურჯის ურბანული დატვირთვა, რადგან ის აქტიურად არის ჩართული თელავის ისტორიულ ლანდშაფტში.
The so-called “Vakhvakhiant Fortress” is one of the three historical fortresses, which is included in Telavi’s development. After the loss of the function of the fortress, its towers were used as dwellings. At the end of the 19th century, on one of the towers, a compact, graceful proportions, two-story brick and cobblestone house was built. The circular volume of the castle-tower is divided from the inside into two floors and converted into living rooms. The main part of the first floor is open with a brick arch from the side of the courtyard; and one of its walls attracts attention with a decorative masonry of brick and cobblestone. This wall decorates a window and a door with pointed arch and semicircular frame. The facade is finished with a decorative parapet. The second floor butifies a three arched wooden balcony and openwork railings (renewed recently). Along with the historical value, the urban load of the tower is important, as it is actively involved in the historical landscape of Telavi.
