The classicist style building, elongated on the longitudinal axis, with simple and austere facades, dates back to the 19th century. It was built by the Russian administration on the territory of the old castle as the building of a theological seminary. In the basement of the building there is an entrance tunnel to the spring. The spring once served to supply the Batonis Tsikhe with water. The building is important because of its restrained and sophisticated classicist facade and underground infrastructure, in particular the tunnel.
