Initially, the main function of a one-storey brick building with wide apertures was shopping arcade (built in the middle of the 19th century). The house with a pitched tiled roof repeats the facade composition of the neighboring house (I. Chavchavadze Ave.127) and creates a kind of architectural ensemble with it. Such types of buildings are characteristic and extremely important for the historical development of Telavi in the 19th century.
